I’m Addicted to Looklet

(Oh, the foliage-pattern stocking! I need them! Do you know where can I get these?)

*****

Another adorable plaything I just found: Looklet!

It’s like a modern version of paper doll, with real model as the doll, and fabulous outfits to drool over (either designer made or simply vintage). I’m totally addicted I can spend lots of time playing in this website. My excuse for this dawdling attitude would be “I need to exercise more on my sense of style for my new job” (translation: I just can’t stop playing with this virtual dolls and I need to find a good excuse that doesn’t sound so lame) ;)

Considering how I still play safe on my style, I can see the urge of exercising more-- thus, I’ll keep ‘practicing’ all over again while drooling over that pretty stuff that makes me go aaaahh-ing and ooohhh-ing. *-*

So, ladies, here are some of my ‘works’ in Looklet. Enjoy!

(I'm so in love with this ultra-feminine little white dress-- I need them badly, or else, I'd die miserably.. *sigh*)

(More is more on my runway- extravagant is the key)

In Crafting My Fashion Mood

*****

I jump in a rabbit hole once again. This time, I found myself joining a new-in-town fashion magazine (yay!). Since jumping in a rabbit hole makes me losing count of the latitude and longitude- later that evening, I found myself surprised by a deadline that requires me to finish a fashion article.

The thing is, I’m not in a fashion mood- and even worse that day: I feel so dull, and completely boring. The deadline just can’t wait, thus, I need to craft my fashion mood as soon as possible. But, trying to write in this unfashionable mood would be a waste of time. So I put on my fancy dress, going out for a shopping, had dinner with some girlfriends, and listen to my girly playlist featuring My Little Airport, St Ettiene, Nina Simone, Feist, The Bird and The Bees, and Au Revoir Simone. Right after those girly rituals, I successfully finish my first article (which I would soon publish here after the one in the magazine published). Hurray!

Anyway, have I mentioned that I went shopping to craft my fashion mood? Yep, that’s when I found the cute little vintage store. A day after that, I schedule a photo session, put on the recently bought items, and try to wear a silly makeup (look at the little hearts on my cheek and on my lips). I feel like a 70s doll with the oversized cropped shirt, high-waist hot pant, and jumbo red bow. In the other session, I rolled my skinny jeans and dress more like daily-miy. I love my new vintage sunglass and the blue head-piece so much- I swear I will wear them everyday this week ;p

Recent Buy: Go Vintage!

I’ve heard some friends in Jogja told me about their life-long dreams of having a vintage boutique. I’ve heard some others longing for a cool vintage store in town- and so do I. Now I’m happily announced: this is the end of the long yearning! The first cute vintage boutique has just opened: Little Garage.

Yay! Yay! Yay! *dancing and jigging around*

The store is tiny, yet, it dresses up nicely. The clothing choices are unusually sweet and distinctive. They also made some accessories themselves- I love the handmade headpiece and the chunky necklace. The store is so cute and intoxicated; I can’t help myself spending on weird stuff and has already planned for the next visit. Thanks to the friendly and persuasive shop keeper who’s making me feel like I desperately need whatever I finally got there. ;p
