Today, mbak Anna and I went for a mini art trip around Jogja. She is in her Ied El Fitr holiday so she's back to her hometown, my city. Apparently, this time she has a long August break and the local art scene in Jogja is currently busy. So, art trip it is! (If you're happen to be in Jogja, do take notes and click on the link below for exhibition info.)
First, we went to Lir Space to take a quick look into Alfonsus Lisnanto's work titled The Question (I'll write more about it on the next post). Then, we stop by at Cemeti Art House to see the group exhibition, Domestic Stuff (so whimsical!). Next, we had a quick stop at KKF's Kios Kaos (sorry, no picture taken) before going to LAF for Leila Pazooki's Magical Thought.
We did went to Mess 56 for Thomas Breakwell's exhibition, Archiving the Exotic and Unfamiliar but apparently the boys are still sleeping and the gallery was still closed (oh, boys). So, we went straight ahead to the impressive exhibition titled XXL at Sangkring Art Space..featuring artist with XXL 'name', XXL size of art work, and XXL impact. What an enclosure for the art trip!
After the mini art trip, we indulge ourselves with a bit of magazine shopping at mbak Mini's kiosk (Martha Steward Living for 5K!) and a quick stop at Little Garage. It was a beautiful day. It's always nice to have mbak Anna around. *hugs*

(awed by Agus Suwage's monumental work..it leaves me breathless..even more when the light is on and the day turns dark and the shadow formed)
