Today is our last day in Jakarta. I'm so super excited to go back home. I've had enough holiday this time, so..
First, we went through the pain of packing for home. You see, I bought some new books and I didn't prepare any empty space in my bag. That is going to be a note to self to always have extra space in the bag.
Then, we went to re-check for the last time in Aksara and Times bookstore Pacific Place because there are some more books that I'd like to buy. We end up not buying more books (remember that pain of packing for home I told earlier?! yerp..that's why); and instead, we had a very fulfilling lunch at Canteen (by) Aksara. I was avoiding cliche this time and I'm afraid Canteen will serve just another cliche but it turns out to be very satisfying. The escargot was yummy and not so heavy, Dito's pasta and my pan-fried dory was exceeding expectation, and the service was excellent. Overall, we are a very happy customer.
After two hours browsing in Times and Aksara (where we found out about this very interestingly smart and witty Conflict Kitchen USA and some books to get into my wish-list) we are all refreshed and ready to go back home to work. Dito had this super cute idea and I'm considering something a bit underground for Lir (can't wait!!). Not wanting to ruin the mood, we both decided to go to the train station earlier..
..where we accidentally bump on my friends from Selasar Sunaryo Art Space!! That was very coincidental and we decide to go and revisit Raden Saleh exhibition in National Gallery. Dito is ready to get a pretty umbrella for this will be his third visit to this exhibition. :)))
We said goodbye just on time for the night train and that's a wrap.
Speaking of a wrap.. you see, I have all this little thing about being in a night train. It usually gives me a train-lag and I'll try to avoid it by literally wrap myself up in layers to get myself warm, drink something really warm, and try to sleep. Posted below the pictures of my three times wrapping against the train-lag. (..and you know what? It successfully did this time! I didn't suffer that annoying train-lag at all on the way to Jakarta and back. Yay!)
